It’s November. That means mid to late spring here in Aotearoa – the lambs have already been and gone, and so have the daffodils. But the trees are still greening up, and the mostly-steady heat of summer has yet to arrive. Can you feel the love?
It’s also 2021. That means Covid-19, Lockdowns, vaccines and vaccine mandates. It means polarisation between anti-vaxx and pro-vaccination, between pro-choice, and mandate it all, between lock us up and let us free.
Can you still feel the love?
Of course polarisation is a feature of duality, which is a mechanism of the mind. And when reality is viewed through the lens of the Conditioned Mind, duality is perceived, and polarisation is generated. Love, perceived through the mind, becomes conditional, transactional, and greatly diminished.
There is another way to roll through.
It is possible to have a direct realization of reality through the lens of loving-awareness.
Through this lens, the underlying continuity, and unity, of it all is perceived. Duality is not a thing anymore, and so polarisation can not arise. Love is simply the field that underlies all of existence, and it’s directly experienced – not as some intellectual idea, but as a unified felt-sense of experience.
You could almost call these two different experiences of reality Hell and Heaven. In Hell, the world is perceived the world as a threat, people are dangerous, and everybody is divided into good and bad, or good and evil. Hell is where the Other is dangerous and threatening and must be protected against at all costs.
There’s no feeling the love in hell.
That would make Heaven – direct realization of loving-awareness as the lens of perception – a place where the inherent divinity of all beings is seen and felt. A place where each moment – no matter what is unfolding – contains contentment and okness, and possibly even bliss and joy. A place where the love is felt, immersed in and radiated. Where really, love is all there is.

If this is true – if the way in which you perceive reality determines your experience of it – then surely it would make sense to do whatever it takes to perceive in the way that leads to Heaven?
And surely, it would then make sense to understand how perception generates the illusion of Hell and take the actions required to dissolve that illusion?
Surely THAT would be the primary focus in one’s life? Not in attempting to assert or defend a position like anti-vaccine or pro-vaccine.
Because it doesn’t really matter which you are – be anti, be pro, be neither – what matters is whether you perceive duality, or unity. Where you move from union, or separation.
Love is found there, in unity. Not in being pro-vaxx or anti-vaxx or whatever vaxx.
The polarisation and division that many people are experiencing in November 2021 is not because of Covid-19, or Lockdowns, or vaccines, or vaccine mandates. None of those things is CAUSING polarisation – there’s just a strong correlation.
What causes polarisation – duality – is perceiving through conditioned mind.
Which means if you’re finding it really challenging right now and the world does feel separate, and hellish and divisive and polarised… stop being distracted by the contents of consciousness (Covid-19, vaccines etc) and instead focus on KNOWING yourself as consciousness. Because from that perspective, the entire game changes.
From this perspective, the world looks different, feels different and even behaves differently. For real. Realer than real. Don’t believe me though, find out for yourself.
No belief is required – this is a journey into direct perception of reality. And anyone can take this journey.
A few weeks ago, I went on a road trip. Over three nights, I stayed with three different people (and sets of people), all of whom I love dearly. And I dropped in for a cuppa with another dear friend.
These friends and loved ones were all on a different part of the Vaccine Spectrum. We ranged from already vaccinated and down with it, to no fucking way and give me back my sovereignty. Our perspectives ranged from ‘the government’s just doing its best to keep us safe’ to ‘it’s all a plot to depopulate and take control’.
And yet, despite this range in perspectives, NONE of us was identified with our perspective/position.
None of us felt the need to assert, or defend this position. Each one of us held great love and care for each other, despite our differing positions.
In many cases, I was curious to hear from others about their perspective/position. What do you see? What do you feel is unfolding? Let me see life through your lens, even if just for a moment.
I listened, with openness and curiosity, and love. Most of all, with love. And I felt the palpable sense of connection – no, of communion – that comes about when people are orientated to loving-awareness and connect from that place.
Could I feel the love tonight? Heaven’s yes I could!
And it was regardless of the positions and perspectives we held.
Because we weren’t IDENTIFIED with those positions and perspectives.
Just going to say that again, because THIS is the way out for those of you who would LOVE to experience Heaven on earth.
Stop identifying with the contents of consciousness, and start identifying with consciousness. THAT is what you are.
And that, to me, is what THIS is all about – all this Covid-19, lockdown, vaccine, mandates play/dance/drama – it’s all about testing us to see if we’re foolish enough to get sucked down into conditioned mind and become identified with what’s unfolding… defending and asserting positions.
Or whether we’re able to stay orientated to loving-awareness and connect to everybody – regardless of perspective/position – from that deeper place of truth and love.
That’s the way I’m framing what’s unfolding.
That’s the way I’m playing the game.
Stay centered.
Stay orientated to awareness.
Stay in power.
Stay in love.
Vaccinate or not, mandate or not, it don’t matter.
Feel the love, no matter what.
