Looking for a dynamic, engaging speaker with a varied body of experience and the ability to intimately connect with an audience?
You need Kara-Leah Grant.
Kara-Leah has lived an extraordinary life’s journey from debilitating back issues to nationally renowned yoga teacher, from an experience of psychosis to an intimate understanding of the psyche and how to work with it and from speechwriter for Ministers of Parliament to author of two acclaimed yoga books.
Kara-Leah has the ability to open deep into her own struggles and trials in a way that connects the audience to their own difficulties in life. She doesn’t just experience difficulties, she uses her difficulties as a path to liberation.
Everything Kara-Leah has lived through, both the challenges and the joys, has become a way of learning to live more deeply and more awake, and in doing so, access a life of deep presence.
In her book Forty Days of Yoga, Kara-Leah developed a comprehensive method of working with the psyche that helps people embed positive behaviours into their daily life. That method combines a mix of compassion and organic discipline that makes it effortless to do what you really want to do. Thousands of people have used her method to make yoga a part of their daily life.
Now Kara-Leah is using the methodology from Forty Days of Yoga to help people harness the positive power of habits and create lasting positive change in their lives. It’s yoga for a non-yoga audience, and it’s changing the way people view their habits, and their lives.
In presentations and on stage, Kara-Leah brings her understanding of yogic tools such as postures, breath work and meditation to give the audience a taste of what it feels like to be fully present and outrageously joyful. She engages, she entertains, she informs, she inspires.
Our modern lives are often frantically busy and it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day survival, striving and pursuit of external rewards. Kara-Leah advocates a different way to live – a way of living that puts the experience of presence front and centre of every activity or experience. In this presentation, she shares the journey her life has taken her on – from total misery to daily joy – and the actions she took along the way to make the shift.
Available as a 45 minute presentation or a one day workshop.
How to Harness the Power of Habits in Your Life
Over 40% of our daily actions are habitual and many of those habits are not giving us the results we want in life. In this presentation Kara-Leah shares the insights and processes she learned from creating her Forty Days of Yoga process, which has helped thousands of people embed yoga and meditation as a daily habit into their lives. Using this process, you can redesign the habits that aren’t giving you the results you want and design new habits that will create the life you want to live. Through engineering your own daily habits, you can create outrageous joy in your life too.

Testimonials: What People Say
I attended the first of Kara-Leah’s three part ‘Blogging for Success’ workshop series at Wanderlust out of curiosity, and because it didn’t clash with any other classes I particularly wanted to attend.
I certainly had no intention of attending all three workshops, with so many other fantastic things on offer over the four day festival. But from about 15 minutes in, I knew that there was no way I was going to miss the other two.
While the subject matter of the workshops centered around blogging, Kara-Leah made it about so much more than that. She brought in elements of Yoga philosophy, chanting, and a dialogue about self-expression and fulfilment in general, to make it a truly enriching and educative experience.
While she clearly had a structure planned for the workshops, she remained flexible in her adherence to it, and let the energy of the room guide the path of the discussion. However, the presentation never lost its direction; it merely seemed to become a better version of itself, catering seamlessly to the needs of her audience.
And her presentation style was never less than intensely engaging and immensely generous. I can’t wait for what she has in store for us at Wanderlust next year!

On International Yoga Day Kara-Leah gave a talk on Yoga in Modern Times where she emphasised the importance of finding a good teacher to lead one along the yogic path. Her delivery was personal and sensitive and I am sure many who heard her found truths to resonate in their own journey. Kara-Leah is a very proficient teacher, her presentation is impeccable, her practice is expert and more importantly she actually practices what she teaches. When Kara-Leah speaks people can feel her genuine nature and compassionate motivation. This combination of qualities makes for a powerful presentation.

Kara-Leah spoke to our group of mostly yoga beginners in Week 5 of programme at Mangere Bridge Yoga. Her clear and concise insights and explanations on the benefits of yoga practice in all aspects of life were captivating and accessible. A number of students repeated Kara-Leah’s soundbite that they can begin with “just seven minutes a day”. I highly recommend Kara-Leah as a communicator on yoga and life.
